Aaron and I went into Fenway last night with Diane and Eric to see the Piano Man himself, Billy Joel. It was, of course, an amazing concert. But I did have a fair amount of difficulty physically, which was frustrating. Because Fenway is not the roomiest of places to see a concert, I only brought my cane figuring it would be easier to navigate my way around with that rather than my rollator. We had a little more walking to do than I thought we would so it was bit more of a struggle than I had anticipated. But we had a great time and the best part was I met a really lovely usher there named Bill. He reminded me of my grandfather as soon as I saw him and I found myself watching him as he showed people to their seats. After the show ended we ran into him coming out of the stadium and I asked if he’d mind posing for a picture. He obliged and now I have a lovely reminder of an amazing night with friends and of my new friend Bill.
