About Rise Against ALS
We started our Rise Against ALS initiative in 2021 with an eye toward advocacy and awareness, and with the specific mission of raising funds for ALS ONE and the Healey Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital through various fundraisers throughout the year. Since then, we have raised over $150,000 through events such as our Through the Decades Dance Parties, Super Bowl Squares, and Zoom events.

In Memoriam
Cheryl LaBlue was my best friend for 46 years, and she was a tenacious advocate for ALS and supporter of ALS ONE. She was heavily involved with Rise Against ALS from the beginning and she worked tirelessly to help make our fundraisers a success. From acquiring donations for auctions to attending weekly planning sessions to setting up and breaking down the events, Cheryl was a champion for the cause and was the truest friend I’ve ever had.
Cheryl lost her battle with ovarian cancer on October 5, 2023, after a hard-fought 2-year battle. She is deeply missed by everyone she touched in her short life.
