Jack is officially a middle school graduate! His last day in school thanks to the pandemic was March 13. Since then everything has been online, and he has worked hard to round out his final year in middle school. The end of this year was supposed to be full of fun activities for him, culminating with a graduation and award ceremony. Alas, Covid-19 put a halt to that. However, his school set up a wonderful “drive-through” ceremony for the 8th graders and the day before graduation Jack had a wonderful surprise when all of his pod teachers came to the house to award him the Odyssey Team Writing Award. It’s the first time in 12 years that a boy has won it, and he was beaming when his teachers paid him a visit at the house to give him the award. And, naturally I was beyond proud of my little scribe. On to high school. my boy!
