Today was ALS ONE’s annual Polar Plunge in Marshfield. It was a frigid day for a frolic in the ocean, and I give props to all those brave enough to go in. This is always a fun event, and the after party was full of laughs and great music by my high school classmate Billy McCarthy.
As we were waiting to go down to the water for the plunge, I got the shock of my life when I looked up to see an old friend of mine walking toward us in the parking lot. Tracee lives in New Jersey now with her husband. She happened to be in MA this weekend and she made a point of stopping by to see us, which was just amazing! It was an awesome surprise and I’m glad we got to catch up after all these years.
I also met and got to spend time with Kyle, a fellow ALS warrior from Connecticut. We had a great talking and I look forward to seeing him at future events.
